I’m Emma, the founder of Magnolia Barn. My love for interiors started when working part time at a well known home interiors shop many moons ago whilst at college. That’s when the furniture addiction started! I ended up working in HR for an IT company and enjoyed my time there, however felt something was missing. My parents decided to buy a gift shop when my first child was born.. I won’t lie I was slightly disappointed as I was without child care.. lol

As it turns out it ended up being a real family business with my cousin and sister working along side us. Now, I have to say my mum’s impeccable taste for interiors has had a lasting impact on all of us.. so proud of you Mum! 

We all love being creative whether it be painting furniture, flower arranging and having an eye for anything beautiful, we are also a tight knit family who see sentimental value in everything and anything .. very sentimental in fact! Hope this  will be showcased in the products we have at Magnolia Barn with many personalised gifts. 

When I paint, I find myself in my Happy Place. I love sourcing furniture that could do with a little love to make it shine again. I find it so rewarding and therapeutic...it does have an unfortunate complication of wanting to keep everything though?!... 

We were fortunate to be trained by Annie Sloan using her gorgeous Chalk Paint. 

We all know that we need to do our bit to save the planet and always strive to do something and I believe recycling furniture is one way of contributing.
